BIOGRAPHY
SHARON GREYTAK
Named by The Independent as one of “10 Filmmakers to Watch in 2014” Sharon Greytak is an award-winning New York City based independent filmmaker who has written, produced and directed feature-length fiction films, documentaries and experimental shorts. Her most recent award-winning feature film is ARCHAEOLOGY OF A WOMAN with Golden Globe winner/Oscar nominated performers Sally Kirkland, and Tony Award winner Victoria Clark. Her critically-acclaimed films have been exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art, New York, Centres Georges Pompidou, Paris, Laemmle Theatres, Los Angeles, Films de Femmes, Creteil France, Village East Cinemas, New York and numerous festivals internationally. Greytak is a Yaddo and MacDowell Fellow. Her work is in the collection of MoMA, Bela Balasz Studio, Budapest, UCLA/Sundance Collection, and the Margaret Herrick Library of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences. She has been a Professor of Practice at Syracuse University and a faculty member of the School of Visual Arts MPS Directing Program.
